Corporate Social Responsibility
Focus on Corporate Social Responsibility
On the initiative of the Director, the students of CIMP took into account their Corporate Social Responsibility by inviting children from local slums to CIMP. They promised to provide education to these children and told them about various vocational courses.
In the present scenario of economic recession and global melt down, CIMP extended its helping hands to the children from slum areas. Dr. Das has also taken an oath to work for the slum children in and around the city. Very few visionaries can focus on the prevalent problems in the society which has always segregated the poor from the mainstream existence in the society. Keeping the socio-economic situation in Bihar in focus, CIMP under its essential component of “Corporate Social Responsibility” has undertaken the responsibility of educating and rehabilitating the children from these slum areas. Among many other projects undertaken by the Institute focusing on the development of the State, Corporate Social Responsibility is yet another step towards upgrading the development of the State. 4 children came to the Institute on its Foundation Day where they were welcomed and felicitated by Dr. V. MukundaDas, Director, CIMP. The sheer motivation and vision of Dr. V. MukundaDas has motivated not only the students of CIMP, but his efforts has also encouraged the guardians of the children to think beyond their marginal existence and give a concrete base to the dreams of a brighter future for their children. The support and the helping hand extended to the deprived families by the Director and the students of CIMP would be recognized and acknowledged, not only by the society, but also the world where these children will prove their mettle. The idea is to guide these children through the right path and make them recognise their inherent potential, enabling them to become respectable and responsible citizens of the society.
Flood in North-Bihar
CIMP students responding to the humanitarian cause, organised and contributed Flood Relief fund for the flood affected people of North Bihar. They arranged for medicines, food packets and monetary help. North Bihar was facing destruction, displacement and loss of human lives (millions in Bihar) due to flood caused by collapse of eastern embankments of Koshi Barrage.
