Case Study on the success story of BRPNNL

CIMP organised a seminar on “Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Ltd.: A success story" on December 27th, 2008. The invited guest was Mr. Pratayaya Amrit (IAS), Chairman of Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Ltd. Students have taken up a Case Study on the complete turnaround of BPRNNL. The case study will be in three areas:

(I) HR

(II) Operations

(II) Marketing

The Institute initiated this case study in order to motivate the students to study the strategies implemented in the process of turning around a loss making government undertaking into a successful organisation. The students have been asked to analyse the data of the organisation and compare the paradigm shift of the organisation from a sick one into a success story.

Project on Development of Village

CIMP students have taken an initiative to work for the upliftment of villages as a part of their research project. The students visited Chakausan and Bazidpur village in Hajipur district. They interacted with the farmers, 11 Self Help Groups and 2 Farmers' Club and got acquainted with their problems and inhibitions. The students also visited Krishi Vikas Kendra to understand its role in rural development and improvement in agricultural output.

The students said that although they have joined the band wagon of “thinking global” but it is important for everyone to “act local” so as to put Bihar in the forefront of management and development.
