CIMP Library Resource Centre
CIMP’s library is emerging
as state -of -the -art in term of using latest technology
available in India with provision for enabling users to
access the library without sitting in the library. All
the students and faculty can access the information On-line
from outside the campus also.The library has installed
database information systems for users. The library uses
a new technology-RFID Tag (Radio Frequency Identification),
which contains the identification of books.
The Library has digital and user centric services such as RFID Automated System,
Reference service , User orientation, Circulation, Inter Library Loan, Document Delivery
Service, e-library, New Arrival Service, Current Content, Web Opac powered by VTLS Library
system, Bibliographic Service, Photocopy, Institutional Repository, Virtual Reference Service
and expert support to the users. Library Resource Centre has provision of self issue service by
implementing Automated KIOSK, a latest digital library technology in the library’s chapter.
The Library Resource Centre has access to Harvard Business Publishing, an independent unit of Harvard
Business School. Indian National Digital Library in Engineering and Technology (INDEST) consortium, a
new venture initiated by IIT, Delhi for resource sharing and collaboration, will be joined by the library
soon. ABI Inform, Emerald Insight and India Business Insight Database will be added soon to the collection.
In-house development and
successful implementation of e-examination software-especially
suited for global awareness is being introduced.
The Library Resource Centre
has a massive collection of printed, as well as online
resources which includes books, journals, databases,
e-book, e-journals, reports, cases, conference proceedings
and training manuals on management and allied subjects.
Currently, the Library has a collection of 7500 volumes
of books, 100 print journals, 2000 full text journals
and online access to databases such as EBSCO, Emerald,
Prowess, IAS, IBID, EndNotes etc. Best statistical software
such as AMOS and Clementine have been introduced by
the active support of the library. Besides this, it
also has collection of Videos, Audios, 250 CDS, DVDs,
Project Reports related to Management and allied subjects.
The Library Resource Centre also has a comprehensive
collection on Harvard Business School Publication Series
(800 titles), Government Reports (300 titles), Handbooks
(200 titles), Glorious Bihar, Information Technology,
Management and Hindi Literature.
