Summer Placement at CIMP
“Given the limited time at our disposal we could achieve such a record placement
comparably better than some of the top class management institutions in the country
because of our strategic analysis of the placement situation in a global perspective.
At a time when even IIM students are finding it difficult to find birth in MNCs
and are opting for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), the response to CIMP has been
overwhelming, which speaks of the imprint it has left in such a short span of time.
The Institute will be able to accomplish its final placements after an year even
better than some of the national institutions such as IIMs.”
Director, CIMP
Within an year of its inception, CIMP has achieved
another feat by getting the first batch of PGDBA students placed for Summer Training.
The endless efforts of the Director and his vision, got lateral
placements for 20% of the students in NDDB and AMUL, which is virtually a guarantee of permanent
placement in the respective companies. Both the companies visited the campus and picked their
choice. The planning process for placements was the first priority of the Institute
and the Director, and the initial networking for placements with companies was processed
soon after the induction of the first batch of the PGDBA students in July 2008.The
placement committee comprising of students, placement co-ordinator and faculty members
in coordination with the Director worked incessantly for the placements.
As the Institute is in its initial years, the process took a longer period in taking
off but the ground had already been prepared for the dream of 100% Summer Placement with
all the database in hand and a focussed strategic analysis.
Companies from all leading sectors, including Banking, FMCGs, IT, Pharmaceutical
and Telecom came for the placement of the students of the Institute. Some students
have been picked up by Transnational Corporations (TNCs). The students got international
offers from Seikei University, Tokyo, Japan. Summer Placement at CIMP also had participation
from MNCs such as ACC, ITC Infotech , TCS, POLARIS, Glenmark, ICICI, DLF, etc. Each
student got an average 3 offers for summer placements.
