Social Marketing Club
Social Marketing Club (SMC), an entirely student driven activity, is an innovative initiative of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna for development of Bihar.It also proposes to create awareness among the students regarding social responsibility. Social Marketing Concept is frequently used for bringing about changes in socially significant attitudes and behaviour in such diverse areas as Smoking, Use of seat belts in cars, Drug abuse, Heart disease and organ donation, Waste disposal, Traffic sense etc. The initiative is generally not taken anywhere in India in Management Institutes.
CIMP also proposes to educate Patnaites on ensuring hygiene sense. CIMP will outline social marketing communication programmes to inculcate a stronger civic sense among Patna population through appropriate waste disposal . The social marketing club also proposes to reduce traffic noise through influencing the behaviour of drivers on unwanted use of horns. CIMP will organize citizens forum comprising segments of population from Patnaites to inculcate appropriate traffic sense.
CIMP proposes to, in the ultimate sense, change mind-set of urban Patna populace enhancing their civic sense through a multi prong set of activities.
