Students @ CIMP
“We need to change the academic culture and develop CIMP as a model of social change. The systems, processes, culture and academic values would be far, far different at CIMP from other institutions and universities conforming to building up excellence”.
Director, Dr. V Mukunda Das
The students of CIMP belong to different backgrounds. As per the rules followed by the Institute, the students inducted have taken their CAT exam conducted by the IIMs and go through a rigorous process of GD/PI. Students of the first Batch of PGDBA are a mixture of students who have work experience in different areas of Private and Public Sector and also students who are from diverse academic backgrounds. The students excel in academics and application of their knowledge in their respective fields act as value-addition to the knowledge gained at the Institute. The course outline followed at CIMP is case study based and the teaching material used in courses are sourced from the best in the world viz., Harvard Business School, IIM-A and other similar leading National and International B-schools. The practice of following research based study is to expose the students to global managerial realities. This helps the students to gain experience in Management and become successful entrepreneurs in future. Students are involved in various projects inside and outside the campus that helps them to grow individually and as a community. Students have been groomed at CIMP to realize their responsibility towards the society. They have the facility to study in universities of foreign countries under the International Exchange Programme of the Institute. Two students were selected by the Seikei University, Tokyo, Japan for their summer projects.
